About

The Barrett Elementary PTA is an association of Barrett parents, teachers, and staff who want to be actively involved in the education of children at Barrett and in Arlington County.

Our mission is threefold:

1. To support the educational activities at Barrett. We do this through providing teachers with extra money for books, school supplies, field trips, and improvements in the use of technology at Barrett.
2. To foster communication among students, parents, school staff, and the school system. We do this through PTA meetings, the weekly e-newsletter, flyers, social media, and various PTA programs.
3. To serve as advocates for Barrett Elementary and our children. We work to influence the Arlington County School Board, County Board, and their respective staffs to make decisions that are in the best interest of the Barrett population.
